BIZI.
Bizi(2020-2021) is a website that connects consumers to local businesses that match their values, spotlighting local stores in a humanized light.
I am a co-founder of Bizi and my role was to conduct market research, design the UIUX of the website, and lead a team of 5 software engineers to develop the platform.

During the onset of COVID, the city of Evanston became unrecognizable with vacant signs decorating once thriving businesses. According to Evanston’s Chamber of Commerce, 45% of businesses had shut down by June of 2020.
After cold calling 60+ small businesses across 3 cities, receiving 200+ survey responses from consumers, and conducting market research, we identified a way to help.
the need
According to Statista, Gen-Z and Millennials are the generations most likely to spend more on sustainable products. This is significant, as small businesses are more likely to implement sustainable practices. Our team wanted to tap into our existing network of Gen-Z students as their spending power increases.
